No-exam life insurance

Who qualifies for rapid underwriting, how it operates, and what changes if you don't.

A lot of companies now offer fast-track underwriting: applicants within their age and coverage caps get approved using the application, RX records, driving reports and financial data without a physical exam. Some decisions take a day or less. Each quote here shows whether an exam is required, possibly needed, or not needed.

What it changes

No exam does not mean no verification. Your answers are confirmed, and a policy issued with false information can be denied within the first two years. If the carrier's records raise concerns, they may require testing or records; you then choose whether to proceed.

Who tends to qualify

Often people younger than sixty applying for amounts within the carrier's accelerated limit, with no significant medical problems and no tobacco or nicotine use within the previous year or more. Some carriers will accept recent blood work from your doctor in place of a company exam.

Should an exam be necessary, the paramedic usually visits you at home or workplace in the Arcadia region for a session lasting twenty to forty minutes, at your expense. In many instances, outcomes enhance your health rating if you are in good health, making the exam potentially favorable rather than problematic.
