Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quoting tool only asks for gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. These six answers supply enough information to generate carrier quotes. Your name, address and medical records are only requested if you choose to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They represent each carrier's rates for the health tier you selected. The final premium is determined by the carrier's underwriting process, which may confirm, increase or lower your health classification. Everything shown here is for informational purposes and does not constitute an insurance offer or rate guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, and your application is produced from the precise quote you selected, then continues within the carriers' encrypted application system. You may pause and return later, and all signatures are digital. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance entity (License 0B75129), handles the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier, the benefit amount and your health information. Many companies now provide accelerated underwriting with no exam for applicants who meet their requirements; every quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
A term should extend through the years when losing your income would hurt your dependents most: while paying a mortgage, raising children, or during a business venture. Longer terms cost more per month but secure your rate for a longer period. The quote tool allows you to compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting tool does not collect personal information, we do not buy or trade visitor data, and our analytics collection does not use cookies. Read the privacy page for a full description of what information is gathered and who has access to it.
